They are cool fish my lfs has one in their display tank. It flashed all the time when it was first placed in their tank but after a while it became comfortable with its surroundings and didn't flash anymore.

HHmmm, I didn't think about that. Oh, well still a pretty fish even when not flashing. People that arn't in the hobby will think I'm a big ole liar when I tell them "that fish used to change colors all the time I swear!"

Mann that is a cool fish...Sweet build...

Thanks, how's your system, did you get that skimmer working right?

I have been working on my mantle for the whole week. What a PITA...I just put the first coat of paint on and should have it up tomorrow, than I am on to the skimmer. I will get some pics up soon.

I really like your calcium reactor. The double storage is nice.

Thanks, I had them add the ball valves so I can remove the pump without draining all the water out of it. Looking forward to the pics.

Gonna be a nice build. Like the tank with only 1 center brace and not an oversized eurobrace that limits access into the tank. I had some purple tile fish, man do they jump, I think they are related to the flying fish!

Thanks! By going with the center brace I was able to keep 2 inches off the euro brace. Yeah they are big time jumpers, I have egg crate across the back of my tank right now, it would have to jump about 10" to make it over.

I cut, stained and sealed the wood for under and on top of the stand, cut the foam and put the stand in place.

Hahahhah..I like your floors and colors in your house...This new tank is going to be sweet. It is super cool that you already have a bunch of coral to transfer to the new tank..

lol, thanks but I can't take credit, they were that way when we moved in. I wish I could have gone in-wall like you did but I couldn't talk my wife into adding onto the house and our garage is nowhere near anywhere convenient.

One positive thing is it will give you a lot more time to spend on the tank than on the construction of a room or wall. If you decide to move it is a lot less hassle. I think if I move I will just close the wall and make it all storage unless the buyer want to drop a few grand a keep the tank..WHat about a penisula style tank??? It is tough finding the right location. Next house my tank will be viewable from the family room. I would love to watch TV and glance over at the tank and truly enjoy it. Either way I look forward to your updaes.

True, much quicker to get it up and running. Peninsula tanks are cool but I just didn't have the space, had to go up against a wall, but it is in my living room, definitely will be enjoyed more. My current tank is tucked away in the "office"

Let's us know how the tilefish doing?? Used to have a purple tilefish but could not get it to eat :( Yours is way cool...!!

so far so good, he has been eating marine cuisine, I also have a Red Stripe Tilefish, he spends most of his time hiding but he comes out and eats everyday

All I can say is wow. Can you give us the run down on your current tank? Did you have a calcium reactor on your 125? DO you dose anything, how often do you do WC and what other reactors did you use?

Thanks
