July meeting

So for the trades can we post pictures? Or will that just clutter the thread?

Also If anyone has a cherry corals tokyo tart acan please let me know.

Jeff, I do have a piece of the bzooka joe saved for you ;) These others are more sensitive so they will need some time to heal before they are ready. It tooks a couple of years before I can frag them literaly.

Sweet Tom, I should be able to make it depending on the date.

Stingy Devil ;)

Lol, Jeff knows he will get them so he is not worry. The darth maul is very finicky, no one was able to keep it alive longterm wise, even the guys in the bay area. The red water melon was about 1/4" when I got it from Chris at aquatics central several years ago and it receded and then regrew, and then receded and then now it's finally fragable.

Jeff, The date is going to be July 22nd so hope you can make it.

Great timing. I took out all the rocks on the left side of my tank. I'll probably have some extra rock if somebody needs some.

Meeting details:

Date: July 22nd
Time: 12:00 noon
Topic: Aquascape, bonsai style rock works. (bring cleaned dried rocks, epoxy, and zipties if you want to work on it)
Location Tom's house (please pm me for address if you haven't been there before)

Raffle: YESSSSSS

Swap: Zoanthids

Food: BBQ potluck

Alcohol: YES BYOB (we always ended up with a party instead of a reefing meeting but this time we will try to be a little more serious ... NOT :D)

Note: The club's band saw will be available from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon for those that want to frag corals. This saw is designed more for thin cuts of rocks and not for the chunky large pieces. If you want to make some thin cuts please bring your corals between that time. You will also need to bring a bag of your tank water for the cut and a bag of tank water for the frags containers to go into afterward. I will be fragging up some chalices and some will be in the raffle.

Already requested the day off. I also have a bucket of rock I'll bring in case it's needed. Bringing a hammer with about a dozen heads to frag if anybody is interested.

+1 Keep both. I prob get more compliments on my frogspawn than anything else. It's known as Ogre Toes among the non reefer community :D

How much tank water do we need to bring if needing the band saw? Half a gallon per frag?

Off topic. I have some chalice frags with multiple eyes but in sizes of 1"x0.5" or 0.5"x0.5". Should I wait?

Mike it doesnt take that much water. How many frags do you need to cut? The saw holds about a cup or so and the flow is adjustable based on what you're cutting. We can cut them but those are kinda small. Must be good stuff ;)

1 acan on full dish 25 polyps covering one frag disk. Cut into 4.
1 Favia from grant alien eye purple and green.
Then 5 chalices... Emerald mummy eye, original mummy eye, no name, bazooka, and Bryan's baby hybrid watermelon.

If that's too much then I would bring 3-4 frags or less.
