June 11th AZ FRAG Aquarium Photography Demo on the WEST SIDE

Looks like we are going to be diverting from our regular location this month. Zibba and Evolved will be presenting their Aquarium Photography Demonstration at Studio Blue in Surprise. We haven't done a west side meeting in quiet a while, so let see if the west can represent. :wave:

When: June 11th at 2pm-4pm

Where: Studio Blue
13370 W Foxfire Dr 104
Surprise, AZ 85378

This might work out nice seeing how there will be actual fish and corals to take pictures of there. But not only will the demonstration include the methods of taking the picture but it will include a demonstration on how to touch them up. So bring your gear and questions and take some times from the experts.

There will be a raffle at the end of the meeting as well. Get there early for drinks and snacks. Hope to see you there.

Nice!! I will be going. First time with club in 9 years or so and need to rejoin. Just got back in hobby. Excited to see if I remember anyone. Never been to Blue Studio...only 20 mins away,so first visit. And I got a Canon T3i with a bunch of lenses for cheap recently that I haven't really played with yet. Now if anyone is bringing small frags I may be interested if personal trades/sales are allowed while there. Looking for anything cheap. I only have very nice colored palys for trade if anyone wants. Otherwise I will see if LFS will trade. I will have two or three bundles like this. - mark

also an FYI Bell road is completely torn up around that area as they put in a new overpass and redo the bell/grand intersection. Easiest way is to take Dysart from Bell or Grand north and it will bend west and pass right in front of the shop.

I am going to be a new old member after setting up a 29g two weeks ago. There are dues at 10/yr which is small/normal for groups. There is more info on club website which they didn't have 8-9 years ago when I left SW and the groups. I am going to wait until the meeting to talk to Frick. Also the website doesn't seem to have the current venue for this Saturday as listed above. I wonder what the turnout will be.

The event site is a one-off since there was a scheduling conflict at our regular venue. Should be a great time though! If the turn out is small, that means we'll have more time to work through photography issues one-on-one with people.
