June Meeting

Hey everyone the June meeting will be at my house this time around. I am looking at two possible weekends, the 20th or 21st, or the next weekend 27th or 28th. Let me know what may work best for everyone. I am leaning mostly towards the 20th or 21st. Have a good one everybody.

Not sure if eihter of those weekends will work. Once I completed the siding, the wife has scheduled me to powerwash the deck now.
 
Whatever man, you say you want more involvement, but then you have some lame excuse for not showing up, or show up unannounced and keep every one guessing as to who you are. It is always something with you. Man, your wife must be lucky to have such a "Yes Man" or should I say "Mam". I think we all know who wears the pants in your family. I guess we'll see you when we see you, I will tell you that we almost had a first time in our brief history vote at the last meeting as to whether or not you should be allowed into our group. Oh, by the way, what kind of carals are you into? I have mostly SPS carals.

I think I'm ok ether one.. Are we going to do a DIY project? Like let's build Matt a new Kick A$$ system build?
 
Come on, Pat!!! You always have something to say at these type of comments. Matt, pick a date. I'll be there. Unless it's Sunday. Let me know if you need anything.

Not sure if either weekend works for me. I have lots of things going on over the next month or so. My schedule is so full I usually have a full summer calendar by April.
 
Ok Kevin, how about Saturday the 20th 3 or 4 pm, whenever, doesn't matter to me when people show up, I guess we won't officially start until 4. If you all want to have it earlier, so you still have Sat. evening to do stuff, just let me know, we can move up the time, just let me know.

Patrick, I don't have anything special planned as of yet, so if anyone has any ideas on a DIY or whatever, let me know. I may be in the middle of building some tables in the closet room when our meeting is going on, I would like to have them done by then, but I don't know if it will happen soon enough. I was going to pick some wood up this week, but instead, I bought 1 complete 400wt light with bulb and reflector and another 400wt ballast, so I just need a reflector and a bulb for that one. I am thinking I might just do a plywood type tank/tub lined with a pond liner, instead of Rubbermaid tubs or acrylic frag tanks, I think it may work better for my small sized area for all of this. Matt, I wouldn't try a plywood tank in the house. Just for the fact that plywood will bow. You'll need to beef it up with 4X4s and if your space is limited, that's 16 Inches of unused space . I'd do the rubbermaid and if it doesn't fit your decor., you can build it in with grooved plywood or T1-11 and stain it. JMO
 
I am not making a tank per say, just a long, wide, and shallow box lined with a pond liner set inside the table I am making. I can do any bracing if needed below the table and won't be taking up any or little usable space. I think it will work fine. To do what I want to, with something else, I would need custom tanks or acrylic and I don't have that kind of money to play with. Rubbermaids is the way I wanted to go, but they are just too damn wide at 31", I can only fit one in my space, I wanted to do at least two of them, but it won't fit and I can't tear down the wall to make more space in there.

Darn. Saw this thread too late. I was going to say I can't make the 20-21st dates, but the 27-28 would be good. All well. Hope you guys have a great meet. I'll catch the next one.

I can do the 20th, but I'll have the little one with me. 21st is her birthday party and I'll be at the beach the next weekend.

Sounds like you all think we should DIY Stephen some big boy pants.
 
So far we have Pat, Emily, Kevin, Joel, Bill, and Steve for the meeting. Is anyone else planning to attend? I would like to know by the middle of the week, so I can go get food and drinks for us. I will send out directions to those that need it, just send me a PM and I will get it out to you.
I know Bill said he was bringing his little one, and my kids will be here so feel free to bring yours along too if you have them.
As of now I don't have anything planned for a DIY, so if anyone has any ideas on something please let me know.
