Just a few coral pics

Sitting here fooling with photobucket instead of addressing the big mess Bill and I made playing lights today and thought I would throw a few pics up of some corals I have bought or gotten back from folks holding them for me.

A tort I think came from DMbillies (and a small side shot of Brandons nice homemade epoxy frag plug with some nice zoas)

Totally clueless who I got this from or a name. Its gonna be a beauty one day, has a cool skin and bright orange polyps but different than a regular orange digi.....

A HUGE frag ;) from fishdoc of a green and blue tip acro. It has browned out some in my tank but I expected it to since I am filled with 100% tap water and no skimmer. My skimmer is on its way though. I scored a great deal on an H&S skimmer so I am super excited to finnally have a nice skimmer!

A clam Bill was holding for me which we accidentially tore off its foot in all the moving the last few months. Brians house, my house, Bills house back to my big tank... We balanced it up on that flat spot next to the acro while we placed all the corals and kinda thought it might die with no foot but I went to move him to a better veiwable spot and he has reattatched a new foot to that spot and I am not about to move him again. Just hope he likes 400 watt halides!

Another nice "frag" from Fishdoc, A Purple tip acro I think is what he called it. Again its color is off some but I took thease pics about 2 weeks ago and they are looking great now. Not to mention my crappy point and shoot has awful color balance on it!

One of my favorite fraggs ;) A chunky 2 year old we like to call porkskin AKA the pork.....

Notice the so, so fitting bathingsuit choice?

A cool shot of the radient wrass I had at a freinds house almost 8 months trying to pick a food scrap from under a nice tabletop also from the big Fishdoc run in December....

Also the pretty candycane came from a frag swap trade the first MTRC trade up by opry mills a few years ago and has grown from a tiny single polyp to a nice colony.

And OH MY, MY, my can we say prettyyy? I love this ultra orange flower anemonie from the last reeftopia group order Jesusfreak put together. I placed it on this rock in Claudias 29 I had up as a holding spot hoping it would stay and it never moved once it settled in and it has been in the big tank about 10 days and seems content to not move. I love this thing! Also a dab of pocipora I have had in all my buddies tanks from the first reefin days, A great staple I got a peice of back....

Also another of my Fav's... A red brain I got from Emerald bay way back when I first started reefing also. It has been in all my crazy tank moves and upgrades and even survived in my freinds 55 holding tank I threw up in her kids room that I think had ONE water change in 8 months. I dumped a tank full of critters including the radient wrass on her thinking I would have my big tank up in like 2 months topps buddy ol pal... One day I went over and it had evaporated like a good 3-4 inches with no top offs in weeks.... So this little experiment in totally ignoring a tank proves corals are hardier than we think sometimes! But I have to disclose all the SPS I entrusted to her did not make it ;).

The Chalic next to it came from commonstranger a few weeks ago also.

And some nice rics that survived that same tank and actually thrived!

And the last one I already posted on another thread but hear ya go... This is like the green birdsnest I had for sell at the swap. Somehow I ended up with 2 colonies when I got all my stuff back so one had to get chopped up for some frag money for me ;)

Now that you have your color looking good on your camera I'll bring mine over for you to adjust! Nice shots, they all look great! Did you add the wire to the 400's and get them lit up, if not your in trouble Ha Ha. What a bugger those Lumanarics were but got them both done, Big thanks!!! I think we can hang the one for the RDSB from the ceiling in your sump room/ only two brackets, unless you can call to see if he has another one. Well time for bed. Talk tomorrow bye.

Angela, i bought 1 of the 2x96 pc ballasts from you, worked great and wanted to say thank-you, was my 1st swap and looking forward to many more. thanks again, Rocky.

Glad the ballast worked out for you Rocket. Aren't swaps fun?

I am so glad you asked if they were back in stock the day you ordered John, FWIW, When you place a reeftopia order they sometimes will have something that just came back in stock and not updated the web page yet as in the case of the ultra orange anemone the day we ordered. Its a pretty splash of color for the price and free shipping. I think they get sold out pretty fast when they get them in though.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I wish I had a nice camera to show the true colors.
