I just recently bought a reef tank setup with a pair of clownfish and now I have a few questions.
Firstly, I just noticed my female clownfishes poop was white and stringy. I have heard that is a sign of internal bacteria. The person who I bought the clownfish from has the pair for over 7 years but only fed them twice a week. So today I started with pellets and fed the pair about 7 times today. Tomorrow I will start with mysis and blood worms and pellets inbetween. Just wondering if that is a good idea?
Lastly, I was looking at the tank tonight, after the lights are off, and noticed the female all snuggled in a small carpet anemone while the male is on the other side of the tank by itself? The carpet is only about 2 inches in diameter and the female fits perfectly in there. Just wondering if the female might have drove the male away? They usually swim all day in the open and I have yet to see them in the anemone since I got them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
