thanks for all the kind words

None of the corals are new... I've had most of them for over a decade.
There is one new milka frag that's not visible in this pic.
The only thing new is the butterfly.
I've had semilarvatus for a couple of months now

Laying to rest "old tank syndrome" which is actually LARS :)

Gary,do you have sand in the tank and if yes,how much and how long?
In my poor mind i've connected old tank syndrome mostly with sand.
Please take that factor out of my mind:)

Poor mind? NO
Nobody with a poor mind is a reefkeeper!
Poor BANK ACCOUNT! :p

I understand why one might connect the mythical OTS mostly with sand :)
Maintain optimal environmental conditions!
Sand might make it more of a challenge... but things can go south if you're BB as well.
It's all one big glass box full of lukewarm soup!

Checked out your tank thread, very impressed. OTS has more to do with LARS than a sand bed :hmm5:

Lars

Lars

It's not MY acronym, BTW.
LARS is a term that I first heard from another well respected reefkeeper that runs a 20,000 gallon reef aquarium in Long Island, NY :)

Man...that pic above looks great on my phone but crappy on a large monitor.
Sorry!
