Just another SPS tank

Kien, please write a few of those prayer papers for me and place inside your reactor. As long as it goes into the reactor I know it will work for my tank too. :uhoh2:

Bump for updates?

Oh yeah!! Forgot about this one.
What sahin said!

Hey there! Sorry, it has been a busy summer/fall :-)

Here ya go .. !

So over the summer my Bubble Magus 220CS skimmer pump crapped out. I tried to source a new needle wheel for it but it ended up being ridiculously too expensive to replace. Then I thought about modding the needle wheel myself, but I really couldn't be bothered because the skimmer's air intake was buggered up too. So anyway, I figured I'd just get a new skimmer! I ended up getting the Bubble Magus Curve 9. It's pretty much an upgrade (ish) to my 220CS.

And here is the new and shiny up against the old and busted.

The new one is slightly taller (maybe a couple of inches). Other than that, it's more or less the same skimmer but with a new pump and a few refinements. I actually like the cup lid on my old skimmer better so I decided to use it instead of the stock cap which has a hold in the middle of it. :noidea:

While I was at it, I figured I mind as well clean up my biopellet reactor and top it up as well. Here's my setup out of water.

Nice! All is looking great. I like the bubble magus skimmers. They do a great job.
Good to see your system is doing nicely.. Often, when a reefer is awol for a while, something bad has happened.

LOL. This is so true :-) Especially over the troubling summer months! Thankfully nothing terrible has happened to my tank this year! Well, aside from the equipment malfunctions.

I love the prayer reactor. Awesome idea. Your tank is amazing by the way. Congratulations. Totm worthy In my opinion.
