I just finshed building a cool water change system I designed. It can pull fresh RO from my resevoir to my mixing container, recirculate the mixing container, drain old saltwater from my tank to the drain and pump the new saltwater to the display. All using only one pump, 7 ball valves, and a bunch of fittings. Whole setup including wood for frame and containers was about $90.(I got the pump used for $40, and I got the ball valves for 50 cents each online ) It works great its gonna make my life sooo much easier. If anyone wants pics or the plans let me know, I would be glad to post em if anyone is interested.

Interested (for pics and/or sketches)! I have been "dreaming" of a way to do exactly what you have described.

URK!!!! I just took pictures and I cannot for the life of me find my cord to connect my camera to the computer. I will have to buy another one in the morning, will post pics first thing.

IMO mixing stations are a must have for anything over 180 gallons:

+1 I agree Ed, with over 800g in all three systems I felt like I was mixing saltwater all the time! I designed the sytem so that I could also output new saltwater to a rubbermaid on a truck as well as my main 300g. This way I could use it for my 240g and my moms 55g. The main reason I designed this is so my mom will be able to do water changes without straining her back when I move to the other side of town next week. She is going to be adding coral this week and I dont want her to slack on WC. ; )
