Just found red bugs!

Interceptor did not kill all my pods, the small ones are hard to say how many it killed but after afterwards there will still tons of them. More noticeable were the amphipods it killed, it seemed to be harder on the really big ones, but didnt even come close to knocking all of them out either, theres still way too many in my tank.

Then I would say your Interceptor treatment might have not been strong enough. Which in turn could or could not have whiped all the red bugs out.
The Interceptor in the right dosage should kill anything with an eco skeleton.

When I did my treatment it killed every amphipod I had I guess. I didnt see one for months after the treatment even at night with a light. I had to buy pods and introduce them back into the tank.

Too bad that users couldn't get online prescriptions from a Vet the same way some people can get online prescriptions for other drugs. That would make it easier.

I was able to get some from a reefer that is also a vet. I have it on hand but I'm not sure when I'm going to use it as the corals are looking good. I'll never get all the crabs and shrimp out and I'm concerned about my mandarin. Not sure if the risk reward ratio has shifted to the side of treating yet. I'll take some more macro shots to see if the bugs are taking over yet.

It would be nice if API or Salifert would license the formula and sell it for reef tanks.

I read on another thread that if you lower the tank temperature to 71 for a night that should kill the red bugs. I don't know how that would affect your crabs or shrimp though.

I just did my first interceptor treatment this weekend. I decided to treat the whole tank to make sure all bugs were gone. I couldnt catch my fire shrimp but he made it through the treatment. I have many pods in the refugium that made it thru as well. My cleaner shrimp and acro crab werent so lucky, but I couldnt get them out.

Are you going to treat a total of three times at 7 day intervals?

Yeah. My fireshrimp is the problem. I'll never get him out since he always hides. I should be able to get the cleaner. I'm having a hard time making the decision to kill what I can't get out to eliminate the red bugs when the corals are growing and doing well.

I dosed two 5.75mg pills for 200 gallons of water volume. I unplugged the airline on my skimmer and pulled out my carbon and phose remover. The calcium reactor and skimmer were left running through the treatment. I treated the tank for a full 24 hrs and then fired up the skimmer and added carbon and phos remover.

A few things I noted during the treatment.
1. The water seemed incredibley polished during the treatment.
2. Acro crab and cleaner shrimp didnt make it. Most my pods are fine.
3. The color on my blue acro came back almost immediatley. Amzing polyp extension.
4. No harmful effects noted on fish.

Im going to do another treatment 7 days from the previous treatment to make sure I got all stragglers.
