Just fragged my pink yuma.

After great success fragging a regular pink yuma i wanted to see how this guy would fair. Pretty scary seeing i paid a fortune for the "mother". Anyway the Yuma produced 2 babies, the one baby is about 6 months old and the other about 3months. It was a very simple procedure. I just cut it in half, right through the mouth. It faired much better after the cutting than i thought it would. Now the healing begins.

also how did you get it off the rock, pry under it w/ a chisel and peel it off? thanks

I just pryed a little under it and then it just started releasing it self. That first pic of the baby is a little old, it was a little larger than that when i cut it. I just took a scissor and snipped it right down the middle. I have used a scalpel before to cut yumas also when they are attached to the rock, i think a scissor is easier when they are loose. But please make sure your yuma is healthy and been in your tank for quite some time before trying any thing like thi. Yumas are notoriuos for melting right after they purchased.

yeah i know someone that has lost a whole bunch of yumas(expensive Yumas). within a week of placing them there tank.

I did with a regular pink yuma, worked fine. I was a little more careful with this guy as it is much rarer than a regular pink yuma.
