I use a perltier "freezone" to cool my CPU on my computer, by www.coolitsystems.com , and it works like a charm, it lowers my CPU temps by as much as 20C.
where did you purchase this unit from.<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=7781624#post7781624 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by Fliger
Brian at Finsreef knew I wanted a new chiller and recommended I wait for this new brand he saw at Interzoo. I just got it. It is a series of fans and works off the Peltier Effect. It is low wattage, very small and very silent. AFAIK, the Iceprobe is the only other chiller utilizing the Peltier Effect - think of this as his REALLY big brother. Here are a few pix. I got the 400. Nicest part is that it comes with its own controller, it heats and cools. I'll post more pix when I have it up & running.
I got the one third to the left

Well I checked my bill and this will run me $9/month.
Robby - I can't say for certain how it will work in 90 degree heat, but remember on more than one occassion I've had to close my cabinet door and it exceeded 90 for sure! I saw no spike on my controller graph for temp, but I'd bet the chiller went up in wattage. In fact the one time I remember seeing the wattage over 250, it was the first day when I had the door closed most of the day.
It'll be interesting to see how this thing works in the winter. I will be replacing a 200W heater.
