well, i received my Aqua connect 250 watt 14k yesterday, and fired it up today....WOW! this bulb is amazing...i dont really have any others running right now, but this is by far the best 14k ive seen. color is absolutely fantastic... running in a lumenarc relfector mini on a reef fanatic e-ballast... bulb is unsupplemented but still makes everything pop. i cant wait until my corals start to color up more. (they were under 10k 150 watt DE.)
real quick, what does making the nipple point towards in between 9 an 12 o'clock do? is it really all that neccessary? does nipple placement alter color or PAR at all? also, with an increase from 150, to 250 watts, do you guys think i will have to do some majow acclimating? thanks guys, and ill post some picks as soon as i can...too bad these bulbs are kinda hard to get a hold of.....it sure is a beaut!
