hey everyone its prolly nothing but i'm out of town and my gf is watching my tank for me but she said she saw maybe a red spot on my yellow tang does anyone know what this is or where this may come from if it is even a problem? get back asap thanks

i was told and thought it might be the water quality which im not 100 percent sure on but if there is any more ideas of what it might be let me know thanks

I've heard the same thing about water quality. I once got a yellow tang from AT that ended up having red splotches on it. Long story short. A couple of hours in my tank and they cleared right up. I was told water quality was the reason.

I've never had red spots on my yellow tang, but he has had red toward his tail. this is usually due to aggressive behavior i.e. having a snit with another tank mate. It does not last. That seems to be the only time I have ever seen any kind of red on him. Hope you are not gone too long.
