Just one night~amazing.......

hate to break it to you, but it looks like the coral in the second after pic is bleached, and the coral in the first after pic has started to bleach.....

It appears as though they have responded to a stressor by bleaching. Did the water change cause a large alk spike or by chance was their a large temperature increase(above 85F)? IME temp and alk are the two most common causes of bleaching but it can be caused by anything that stresses the corals. I would suspect something went awry with the water change.
Chris

I did the same water change. The alk was 7.0 and water temperature was the same as the tank.
But this time i put the ROWA adsorbent(in the socks)into the new mixed saltwater.
The PO4 ater adsorbed became 0.03(original was 0.06)

im thinking maybe this time something happened with the ROWA...not sure but thats the only thing that jumps out at me...maybe something from it leaked into you tank? im not too familiar with the chemical make up of ROWA, so i cant be certain...but i might start by looking there if i were you....

You might want to do a search back to when the Fe based P removers were comming out(a couple of years ago). Lots of people had problems with them. Some of those same people have learned to use them safely(mainly using less than the recommended amount and rinsing thouroughly before use). Why were you using ROWA in your mixing water, to remove P from tapwater? At any rate I would suspect some of the ROWA was added to the tank and that caused your problem.
Chris

Just because i mixed the salt with RO/DI water and the PO4 at 0.06.
Then i want to decrease the PO4.That's why i dropped the ROWA removers. My tank PO4 at 0.03.
I'll observe all of the situation and report.

Are your corals still in good condition? Hows the colour?

Was it a new bag of salt? Maybe something like the Mg levels were out of wack.
As far as the Rowa goes. I've never used it just on makeup water. I've always used it on a reactor in my fuge, and I use far less than recomened... haven't had any bleaching issues.

Yeah that's bleaching, especially if it happened that quickly. Unfortunately, when bleaching does happen that quickly, tissue recession generally starts soon after.

Hopefully they will recover.

wow! if this happen in 1 nite. that is amazing....
any others things change?

I have had that happen in an hour....basically the tissue just turned to mush and disintegrated off the skeleton....

I think you can sum this up by saying "nothing good happens fast in this hobby". Especially when it comes to SPS.
