Just ordered a Z. Rostratum "Black Tang" from PIA

I found the perfect one (at least by picture and size). I nearly ordered one thru my LFS but after a few conversations between the LFS and the supplier, the LFS owner told me the supplier could not guarantee a true full rostratum and not some type of hybrid. I really have been wanting a true rostratum and after some phone calls, I ordered this fellow from PIA! Im stoked!!!

What do you guys think?? :dance:

+1 as well as some thoughts on PIA! They have some pretty sweet specimens right now.

Quick update... The package arrived as promised by 10:30am thru UPS. The fish was double bagged and was shipped in a box that was foamlined and tight to the bag so no movement (Good job PIA). I opened it up found exactly what I ordered, a beautiful 4" jet black tang. I gave him a quick once over and found no abrasions or anything except what looked like a healthy specimen so I acclimated and 45 min later hes in my DT in an acclimation box. I figured if he ate prepared food he'd stay in the dt if not off to qt to get him eating but sure enough he was eating algae and mysis in the box within the hour. None of the other fish seem to even know hes in the tank so I may release him along with my multicolor angel whos been patiently awaiting his return to the dt.

heres a video... This guy is a pig!!!! Hes eating algae, spirulina, mysis, roggers, picking on rocks...etc! And I just put him in! Hes a perfect fit, thanks PIA!!!

Ive seen maybe 10 black tangs in all LFS around where I am over the past 10 years. and about 100 of them in the past couple of months !! lol so for sure they are caught more but I still dont think that would effect their price tag.
