The 50mm f/1.4 is much better, but its still no 70-200 f/2.8 IS! The 24-70, should you ever choose to get it, is up to par with the 70-200 in every category though...which is why I rarely use the 50mm f/1.4. I think I might send back the 50mm f1.8 and get that 50 f1.4 instead. The 1.8 just feels a little cheap. How's the build on the 50mm f1.4?
