Just received an anemone via shipping and have a question.

I just received a BTA anemone through FedEx.
It is still in the bag, in the sump warming up.
I have had an anemone before (sold it years ago) but when I purchased that one it came attached to the rock.

This anemone is free floating.

Once acclimated should I just place it in the tank?
I can't imagine that going very well with the flow I have going on.

Should I turn off all Tunze's and the return pump?

I, seriously, have no clue on how to get this animal to attach rapidly.

I guess I was just under the impression that the rock it was on in the vendors photo was coming too.

No big deal on that though.

Thanks,
Sean

yep turn off all the pumps. gently set it somewhere and let it attach. turn the pumps back on when you know that it isent going to float around

when i got my rbta from blue zoo i didnt cut off my pumps i just held it in my palm and moved to to where i wanted it. I held the foot where i hoped it would attach and about 10 seconds later it had.
it then promptly walked directly behind that rock. You'd be surprised what kind grip they can get.

Well how is this.
The sucker attached to its acclimation bowl lol.

Now I gotta get him off of that.

my new one attached fast i had the pumps all running in like an hour and hasnt moved yet

they tend to attach quickly if they have a nice spot tho hide their foot.

Good news, after a few times the anemone seems to be in place.
May move may not but for now it is looking good.
