If I was an Asian aquarist (I'm not) I may have taken what Scuba said to be insensitive, offensive, prejudiced and/or inflamatory. I feel you with the stereotyping, however; the language you used is far more offensive. Accusing someone you don't know anything about of being a RACIST is purely ignorant. I didn't see him writing anything about superior/inferior races..., so just relax,and give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't mean to offend, like most normal people would do. You know what? Where would the line be re-drawn if every time it happens, I should give it the benefit of the doubt? Sure, people might be ignorant of what they post but I am sure I should not tolerate it if I see one. One fine day, when the benefit of the doubt scenario is too far been given, would it be too late to correct it as people might have taken it as a normalcy? Like what you doing now? Do you realize this? I'm all for sharing and getting the community educated and such but this kind of remark of grouping asians and saying that asians do this all the time is pretty absurd. Fine, you could post a link showing someone tank and say what they do is wrong but it is also wrong to say since that person does it, he/she represent the whole continent and assuming everyone like him is doing the same thing too, which is not true. That's like spreading lies and others who read it might interpret it as true and the lies keep going on in the forum and the web.

I do not believe this forum is created for such purpose does it? I hope it does not.

No the sad thing is that tank has ben on youtube for almost 3 years. It keeps getting worse and worse and worse every time I see it. It is no joke and the owner thinks it is perfectly ok to do what he is doing. People in Asia think that this kind of stuff is cool and that its ok. Just because they are crammed in like sardines everywhere doesn't mean they should take fish from the ocean and do the same. SMDH

I looked up on the owner video post and see that he joined Youtube on December 09 2009. My question to ScubaSteve06 is where did you get the ' almost 3 years ' information from?

Blind intolerance is a double edged sword IMO, however; I don't blame you in the least for feeling that way. Before we get any more free advice from the moderators here, perhaps we should just agree to shift this sidetrack to another venue, and respect the OP's thread, eh? I will just say this, from what I have learned in my meager short existence on this planet, when people get denfensive and try to fan the flames on other's it's because the truth hurts. I am sorry I made a broad statement with the sardine's comment, but should I hurtle a comment back at you from wikipedia stating the average person per sq. mile in say...Hong Kong? It would prove my point just as you proved the owner of that tank has been around since 09, but it wouldn't get us anywhere would it?

Maybe that specific tank hasn't been around that long, but everytime I see a tank that is stocked like that, I hear asian television, music etc. in the background. I am just stating what I see and hear, I may be just another dumb american who doesn't know jack about other cultures, but I do know what I see and hear and I see that, that tank is a sad existence for those fish.
