Just some questions

Well, one of these days my room is going to get completely re-arranged, so I'm going to sell one of my tanks, and I'm going to sell my african cichlids and keep my 26g bowfront.
I'm extremely bored of cichlids already. I spend more time watching a tiny 3g pico than a community of saulosi.

I decided to post here because I want to keep a pair of clowns, and an anemone. I really like the Onyx clowns, and the true percula clowns.
I understand I have to wait at least 6 months before adding an anemone, so that is not a problem.

I just need some pointers before I start later in the future on this.
What anemone, what pair of clowns, when to add what, and who..ect.
Oh and.. how much does a pair of onyx clowns cost?

I already sort of planned my fish list.. and I want to keep the pair of clowns, a firefish of some type, and I'll possibly pass my pistol shrimp and goby pair to this tank too.
This will be more than likely my last tank to work on for many years to come.

On more important sides, what lighting will I need, how much current, any fans, ect.
(If you can post any light great for a 26g bow from an online store, I would really appreciate it).

I will also probably try a clam. But, I don't know much about them yet.

So if anyone can help me out...
Thank you very much!

Welp for Lighting it is going to have to be MH. Clams will not do well under PC/T5.

IMO

wrong you can keep clams under t5 just fine... at a good depth too,

for a 26 bowfron so you wont need to worry about heat look at the aquatinics 24inch tx5 fixture
you should stay away from t5s without individual reflectors and any and all pc bulbs

the only anemone would try in a 26g is a Bubble tip but that is the best beginner anemone.

you should have a good skimmer and a couple pumps/powerheads for waterflow. if you are setting up the tank for a long time i stongly suggest a sump. you will be much happier if you have your tank driled for a sump.

Thank you. If you can reccommend me to what type of skimmer, and powerheads.

I also found this on the aquatinics website.

Are you talking about this fixture:
http://www.aquactinics.com/pages/TX5.html

Or this one?:
http://www.aquactinics.com/pages/MH-T5.html
Or any of the other ones listed on the first link?

I'm just wondering.. Does a sump make noise?
This tank is just an AGA, it doesn't have an overflow ( I have no idea what an overflow is, so I have no idea as to what I'm saying right now).

Thank You!

Ok not counting the bowfront of the tank..

10" wide
20" tall
2 feet long or 24"
And the fixture it currently has is 23" (stock hood)

What is an overflow...? :S

An overflow is a bulkhead that seperates the return area of the tank from it's occupants and the piping to move the water down to the sump. It's normally located either in the corner or in the center at the back of the tank. Typically it's a wall that extends from the bottom of the tank to about 2" from the top that allows water to flow over the top and also thru 'vented' areas at the top and bottom and the piping is set to allow the water to drain through a gooseneck to maintain a user set level. Another pipe behind the bulkhead acts as a return and a nozzle is used to direct flow back into the tank. The holes in this style are drilled through the bottom of the tank. That's my description of the stock overflow on my 55 AGA tank.

That sounds kind of.. complicated.
I don't think I want to do that, or is it 100% neccesary?
