Here are a couple updated pics of my 90G.

Since my last post I added a DIY custom built frag tank.
This is a 30G plumbed to the existing system.

Here are the pics...

SEIO1500
2xSEIO1100
30G sump
Pacific Coast chiller

Phosban reactor
GEO 612 Ca Reactor
Aquahub auto top-off

30G prop

SEIO620
Tunze Nano stream
MAXIJET 1200
250watt HQI 14K halide

nice frag tank....

i think we should all have one if possible to promote aquacultured frags.

thanks,

It is kinda convenient to have the tank as well.
I can use it hold other things from the 90G when I am working on the tank. This way it reduces stress on the corals since they are basically in the same water, just a different area in the system.

Hey guys.

The frag tank was a DIY.
instrance and I both built one.

Anyhow the tank measures 24"x12"x12".

I used 1/4" glass, got teh pieces cut at a local glass store.
Got the silicone from LFS. All you need after that is some duct tape and good ventilation.

If anyone needs help building this just send me a pm or call me up (954-801-9815).

After the tank is built just check for leaks then drill the holes for the plumbing. I got the bits from ebay and they cut really well. The bits were like $25 for all three bits shipped.

Just tape along the inner eadge of where you will be gluing. maybe less than 1/2 inch from the edge of the glass. This way you will get nice clean cut seams. I taped mine too far in and got big ugly clean cut seams LOL. The overflow came out much better having learned from the mistake. Anyhow this was a pretty easy DIY.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I just learned that lesson on my overflow...:)

The entire tank itself was about $90 including all the glass and silicone. The other parts like the plumbing I had already. The hole saws were $25 for the set of 3.

All the stands and canopies are DIY as well. The 90 is an all-glass tank.

Great work! I hope you do not mind me asking because have not completed my hood and stand, what wood stein do you use?

I got the stain from WOOD-YOU furniture store. The kit includes the stain and the sealant, plus the brushes etc.. I think it was like $25 for the kit and it did the 90 stand and canopy plus the frag trank and I still have extra LOL. So you get more than enough. They have every color imaginable as well.

The store is on University and Stirling on the NW corner in the blockbuster plaza.

HTH.
