Just the Tip! 36x24x12 45g Reef

The red gorgonian didnt make it RIP. So I rearranged the island and made it a little smaller so there is more viewable angles for the corals I placed in the background. Im pretty bummed about the gorg, but on the positive side the yellow one looks much better.
The corals aren't happy because the lights had been off, I turned them on since the NPS looked happy.

I have been slacking on pictures lately. A couple of days ago I bought a tank breakdown that I am planning on setting up, but it came with a bunch of corals (25-30 pieces of corals) that all went in here. I plan to sell a couple (I literally don't have space for some of them), and some I glued in replacement of other pieces. So now I added: 4 Acros, Acans, Blastos, Zoas, Montis, Poccilliopora, a very cool purple sea fan, and a smaller gorg as well.

I also took out the vlamingii, as he was eating my dragons breath macro algae, and keeping my gorgonians closed.

I will try to get some pics soon.

Here are some pictures, its not the most recent layout, since these I have added a few things and changed some corals around, but I think I like it better. I will try to get some of those pics tonight.

But any who, here are some pics.

Tanks looking really nice. How often are you feeding the sun corals? I just got one from the last swap in weston and love it

I feed the whole tank once a day, the sun corals get some of that, and depending how I'm feeling that day, they get spot fed. I would say 2-4 times a week they are spot fed mysis, brine, and cyclops. Twice a week I feed them eggs and brew made by Doctor ecosystems (EXCELLENT PRODUCT, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

Im a big feeder. I figure the fatter and healthier everything is, the less likely the tank is to succumb to disease (since I don't quarantine, and have a soft spot for trying to rescue things)

The fish are Ghosts! I used a pan focus option on my phone where it combines two pictures where one is focused up close, and the other is further away. The fish swim too fast for the camera. ahahah

New fish!

Threw the white lights on.

Changed the media (carbon and phoslock) yesterday. Today everything seems perkier. Hopefully I can fend off some of this algae thats growing on, and irritating the gorgonians. Mass feedings have their pros and cons for sure

Tank looks great! What is the name of the small fish w/ yellow top half and pink/purple bottom half? How is the roommates tank looking??

This little guy...

He is a Barlett's anthias, cool little guy, his partner disappeared a long time ago, and he has been the lone anthias since then. Peaceful, active, and pretty.

Roommates tank is doing well. He is getting some rock anemones today I think, so we will see what he comes home with.

this tank have my mind blow away, seriously, i have the worst time ever with the flow in my tank, the proble with my tank is that it is to tall, 45gal, but kinda narrow and to tall, i have 2 10 wps, do u have any suggestions? i would appreciate it, something else, do you have instagram, i would love to see more pictures of this tank

Thank you. Tall tanks are just as tough as long shallow ones, I would out them at the top on full blast pointed towards their respective bottom corners. I have instagram but I don't post any pics on there that I don't post here first haha

I fed my tank two foods it had never had before: bloodworms and squid. Bloodworms not such a hit (although everything did eventually eat it) but squid, oh yeah! Loaded as many corals as I could with the squid and the fish were eating it out of their mouths faster than I could syringe it back. I went through 3 cubes of squid, 1 of bloodworms and 1 of gut loaded brine. Talk about over feeding... the things I do for these NPS corals haha

Did some serious rearranging to get the anemone out, still have one left but I buried her pretty deep in the rock and I think she will pop out the back side this time around. Added a couple more pieces and moved some stuff around.

I owe this thread a bunch more pictures (I will try to photo dump soon) because there have been a lot of changes in filtration and livestock. anyway here is a picture from about 12:00am this morning.
