In a qt situation where you need to supply adequate oxygen in a not so great tank---moving a skimmer over to the qt tank might be a good thing. A Venturi skimmer is a strong oxygenator. The hang-on tank type could help a lot with minimal footprint in tank. Thoughts?
Seems very reasonable, especially in light of a low oxygen situation I just witnessed.
We assume that a regular hob or a hob and a circulation pump are enough in a QT tank but I cannot really think of any drawback to using a hob skimmer as well.
