Hi Roger! Its been awhile since I've posted here.

I bought my Tunze Streams and Osmolator about a year ago. I was able to install the Streams immediately but have just gotten the osmolator installed along with my new sump (made by Marc Levenson). I am so pleased with both and excited about the osmolator. Previously I had a float valve in my sump and always worried about malfunctions. (fortunately problems only happened once or twice without any consequences) Now I have peace of mind knowing if a problem did occur then it would only be with about 5 gls of water. I am using a nice looking round black wicker laundry basket with a round 6gl or so trashcan that fits very nicely inside of the basket with a wicker top. I have also had installed a kent float valve in the trash container. My ro/di is under my kitchen sink. I have tubing going from the kitchen up thru the attic and down thru the ac closet which is behind my 120gl. The tubing goes from the closet through the wall into the container using a John Gesset??? valve. I just turn it on to fill up the container but in case I forget to turn it off I have the Kent float valve in place for just in case.

The pump is a bit noisey. Can a different pump be used? It kind of bothers my hubby but I don't mind. It just lets me know that it is working. It also reminds me to check and be sure the container is full of water. I imagine after awhile he probably won't even hear it...kind of like the old clocks I have on my wall...they used to keep me up all nite but now I don't even hear them.

Anyway, thanks for all of the help and advice you have given me. I am so glad that I made the decision to use the Tunze products.

 That's exactly why I no longer wind my old clocks, they just look pretty. You can use a different pump but it requires the switched socket outlet. In general the pumps are quieter after a while, you might try tipping it upside down to let out any air and placing it so it is suspended and not touching the walls of the reservoir.

Thanks!
