I was looking for the really thin branched one, that looks like the echinata described by AIMS. The blue-tip with a white/cream body.

There was like 10, but most died a very quick death IIRC. I know he had one he was fragging as I just lost the frag to AEFW.

I have both Tubs' and James' echinata. Look very similar, if not identical, in my tank. I also got 5+ inch wild colony of echinata. It is green with green polyps in my tank but I fragged a piece for my buddy and it is blue in his tank.

Ok, now I've got a piece of the echinata from James you're looking for. Who knew Ming got a piece? He's been growing it out for a year now. When I got mine on monday, Ming cut two frags, so whoever wants the second frag better hurry!

i was looking at that today on atlantis' site. i'm not sure if they are the same one. i think this thread is about the white one with blue tips. anyone comment on this?

The one I pictured isn't Atlantis's echinata on their site. Ming hasn't posted this one on his site yet as he hasn't released any frags of it until he showed it to me. I have both Atlantis's echinata and this new one that Ming says came from James.
Ming's mother colony of this echinata is only 3" or so after growing for a year. He told me he's going to be selling 1/2" frags for $120.

Wow! Only $120! That's a pretty good deal. I thought for sure he was going to list it at $150.
