not to get biblical or anything but, King David was described as being rudy... which means he supposedly had red hair.. if thats true.. it couldnt have been Scottland...LOL

yea... but when the writer wrote that part of the bible, he may have been inspired to give David red hair or something.

Remember that a lot of the most popular book is inspired work. Not all factual.

Ahhh, words I've been saying for years. Man I thought up until now I was the ONLY person on planet earth who understood that statement!! Thank you Trottman I'm not alone out here anymore, there is other intelligent ones!

I think this is one of the most controversial threads I have ever seen on reefcentral. Far more offensive than most LFS bashing or saying someone didn't do this when they were supossed to pay for that.

I'm not taking any sides in this topic in fear of the thread continuing. Try to feel out other opinions. A lot of the things you two just said can really hurt some people. I take most things with a grain of salt, but this thread should have already been closed or removed.

Only if you take it that way... or it could be just two people who have expressed a certain belief.

Just co-exist, get along, etc. Feeling offended because someone believes differently than you do and said so is being somewhat narrowminded IMHO.

Trottie and Stu you guys should not characterize people who believe differently as being mis-informed or ignorant. Trottie I believe if you do a bit of digging, David was a historical figure. While his depiction in the Bible or the Torah might be different, I am fairly certain he is based in fact.

Levon, you shouldn't be hurt or offended, or anyone for that matter, when someone says things like this. Discuss and possible educate others. If they still do not see your point of view, then live and let live.

I have decided to live and let live as Howard as suggested.

My main point is that as far as topics on reefcentral go this was to me the most controversial I have seen and also I might say have nothing to do with reef keeping.

A thread that has to do with a LFS, bad vendor, or issues with someone selling bad supplies gets shut rather quickly. But this one is still kicking.

I have no hard feelings towards Trottie or Stu and I hope they have none against me. They are both great for the boards and I respect their point of view on most every topic. My point was the selection of the staff in shutting down topics and threads.

THreads do not automatically get shut. You have to report them if they bother you or you are offended. However I subscribe to live and let live.
