Justin's 82G - clownfish harem journal

I do find that Gigantea and Magifica are very sensitive to pH. I had, in the past kill a Magnifica nand a Haddoni from timer mal function. The Home Depo timer stuck and added Kalk into my tank too much. I did not catch this over the weekend, out of town. Added a week worth of kalk (until it run dry) over 12 hrs or so. Corals and fish there were no problem but both anemone died from this mishappe.
I don't use timmer for chemical or top off any more. I just use varible continuous lab grade pumps (Cole-Palmer pumps) to add chemical and water to my tank.

Well I'm talking about when my tank crashed and my pH being out of whack all night, I don't know 100% this was the cause, but I'm pretty sure as I've kept my tank as stable as possible since. Your post leads me to believe it could have been. Thanks Minh.

So here is my FTS with my current aquascape, it's still a work in progress and I am changing coral placement every once in a while but I believe it's getting there. I have decided to go SPS dominant as Blue Life USA did not have a good anemone selection to choose from and shipping is horrible anyways.

Well at least you got a nice Magnifca and a nice Rose Anemone.

That's actually the Pink/Red LTA being ticked off due to the clownfish being super rough. I am still trying to get him to anchor from moving on the reaquascape.

Any updates?

He sold everything to take a break, he never really fully recovered from the stress of nursing his anemones for months hoping they would bounce back when ultimately it was probably internal damage and an unrecoverable situation. I do however have some photos that I took when we were selling his leftover corals and invertebrates off.

Sorry it's not much. I expect him to be back eventually, and his focus will once again be anemones I'm sure.
