Hello
Stopped by lfs they had a juvenile interruptus
Never saw one this small it was about 2 inches
Mostly gold in color
Beautiful specimen
Question what is ideal temperature for this fish?
I heard 72 to 75 is best
What do higher temperatures do to fish?
Increase metabolism?
Seems like anyone interested in keeping long term should have s chiller.

Wow - I'd love to see one in real life. I'm guessing it's the lfs up north from me? Go for it Mike! lol ...

If its the same one I'm thinking of, they had a 1" Juvi last year or earlier this year. I have posted pics somewhere on here of it.

It was Elos aqua studio. I was told the fish sold yesterday. Somebody purchased the Interuptus and someone took the wrought iron butterfly. They have an amazing 2 inch gem tang. Absolutely incredible.

2.5k, 4k and 3.5k

but the interruptus would probably sell for 2k, the gem probably 3k

no negotiations on the butterfly

I heard butterfly went to someone in long island. Would love to see some pictures.

how big was the wrought iron? that seems very high for a larger one, but if it was a baby, sounds about right. I have had a couple 1-1.5" wrought irons in the past and they are definitely cool !

They are overpriced on their high end stuff, a small 1.5" Gem sold for 1800 earlier this year in NJ from a different Lfs.

SPSgtr you picked up a pair of interupta from online vendor?
Sorry to hear that one died. DD has the best policy.

Picked up a pair from an online vendor. One died after the first day. Vendor said no credit. Sucks.

:fun5:

No guarantee on the fish at all? Sounds shady, especially for such a high end fish. Was it your fault that the fish died or was it looking bad when you opened the shipping bag? I would be livid losing that type of fish and not even getting a store credit at the very least.

I dipped the fish and flukes came off. Parameters in the qt tank were fine. No ammonia and nitrates. The qt has been running for months. The fish looked fine once in the tank but was not as active as the other. It just hid in the PVC. They were separated by egg crate. Treating the other with praziquantel now. I have chloroquine ready if needed.

I agree. I'm only buying high end fish from dd in the future. Vendor said he didn't have a video of the fish available but assured me they were doing well and eating. I should have at least verified. I had bought from them in the past without issues. I'm just stupid.

I remember Wayne lost one of his from dd and they credited him no question asked

Sorry about your loss. Yes, I lost one of the two Live Aquaria sent me. I took a pic of the dead one and explained why I thought it died and they did refund me the entire amount. Their two week guarantee is pretty awesome.

That is a major red flag. Other than Kevin Kohen & his staff at LA, I am skeptical when told that a fish is healthy and eating without any visual proof, especially with a high end specimen. So what was this vendors rationale for not giving you credit on this fish? Did it not come with any guarantee? I am guessing this person blamed you for killing it when you dipped it for flukes and then medicated.
