Juvi Blueline Angelfish

No luck today. The larger blueline is taking the blackworms pretty aggressively so that's a good sign. The smaller one tasted a couple but didn't see a great feeding response.

They had no interest in the clams or mussels, though my other fish really liked the treat.

The good thing is both fish are fat and active. They came from a reputable dealer who had them for a month before hand. Still, I've never had fish not come around after 3-4 days and the mussels were what I've used with success with other angels that were fresh imports and not eating.

Any updates? By now, a healthy Blueline should be devouring most of what you are feeding. If not, you may be dealing with something internal.

My 2nd Juvi Blue Line is in QT right now. My first was with me for not quite 2 years when it jumped for unknown reasons from the tank and I found it as a fish stick on the floor.

So I really only have a sample size of one to go on here, but....

IME, in the two years I had the first one it was in a tank with primarily LPS, anemones, clams, zoa's and a couple of soft corals. The most it ever did was steal food from some of the LPS, it didn't nibble on anything.

Granted, my Regal Angel didn't nibble on anything either for the first 3.5 years I had it and then one day decided that Zoa's and clams were now on list of acceptable food items...

So take that with a grain of salt...

But I've rarely seen an angel that will nibble on SPS regularly. LPS, Zoa's, Softies, and clams seem to be the main targets of nibbling by Angelfish in the aquarium.

I would say its relatively safe to put a Blue Line Angel in your 120 SPS tank.

Keep the angel fat and happy, (QT it though, both of mine had a strange parasite that appeared to be some sort of worm that exited through the body of the fish....tough to describe....The first one recovered fully. The second is still in QT after showing no further signs of it for not quite 2 weeks now), and I doubt you'll see any problems with it.

Absolute worst case scenario, you can trap it and sell it back to the LFS for most likely close to what you paid for it.

Bump. Anyone still have their Blue lines? I would like to see some photos of the mature angels. Mine are 2 & 3 inches and the larger one still torments the smaller one whenever in sight. They have been together for about 3 months.
