Juvi Blueline Angelfish

i thought it was a bad idea keep more then 1 angel together. i must be reading the wrong info again...

If you are fairly new to angelfish i would suggest not doing it, all the people on this thread doing pairing or even trios are experts at what they do. I have paired dwarf angels without problems but if i ever tried to pair large ones i would ask for advice from the reefers on this thread.

Have a delivery this coming Tuesday from DD. If you want something I can try to put it first thing in the morning and see if LA can put it in. This order comes with free shipping so you can order from LA regular site as well.

I'll have a order from RHS either this week or next week (depending how long Max is going to QT the Multi-color pair for me). This will be free shipped too.

I usually get free shipping (90% of the time) so let me know and I can add your order with mine and the only thing I ask is don't let me hanging with the bag. I've very limited tank space.
Thanks, I just got my tank running and I'm not ready for any new fish yet, Although I will keep you posted when I'm ready for something and see if you happen to be ordering something around the same time. I don't wanna rush in new fish in just yet. Keep me posted on those angels you are ordering.

Well as you can tell mine is more out of the Juv stage he has lost most of the yellow bar. He is currently in my QT and is eating like a champ. I am afraid to treat him with cupramine after my last loss of my Goldflake in QT....How are you guys going to QT the Blueline?

Mine got 0.3-0.4 of Cupramine a week after they started eating. Still eating and acting great. They go nuts now whenever they see me.

I guess I am nervous with the copper now......Especially because telling that color is so much a PITA.....Just when I thought I had the QT process down pat I kill my goldflake...
I don't want that to happen to another fish. Well I just got him Saturday. The store did a FW dip on him for me as I was in the store. I got home acclilmated him and he was eating that night...My buddy keeps trying to get me to use regular copper because the treatment time is less 14 days versus 4 weeks.....That makes me even more nervous.

"Regular" copper is MUCH harsher than Cupramine so I wouldn't go that route. I don't know why treatment time would be different. Life cycle of ich and velvet is what determines treatment time.

RBU1,

Don't look back to what if! There are so many factors that's beyond our control especially the larger sensitive angels. If I were ever to get another GF it will definitely be 2".

Since they performed the FW dip did you check for flukes in the container? That's a big reason to put the to put the fish through that stress for the FW dip.

This is probably the best batch of fish that came in in a long time without any problems. I didn't notice any ich or flukes (they may have it but I haven't notice it yet). All 3 of mine went straight into the reef which is normally against my intro procedure.

Nothing was in the container. Not sure what you mean by best batch of fish. How do you know they all came from the same "batch"? Were did you get your fish from?

I received 2 from BZA and 1 from LA as they were the first to post online. Look at the many that all the folks got whether online or lfs most reported eating right away and I haven't seen any report of illness, of course I can only go by what I see see here on RC and private conversations.

Anyone that wanted one can get one. How often you see this with BLs and let alone juvies.

cupramine is 14-21 days...not 4 weeks!!! but im with Kevin, there are soo many things that kill fish it probably wasnt the cupramine...plus goldflakes are a very difficult angel!!!

i would not risk the health of all your other fish because of not treating!

If you call and talk to Seachem they advise 4 weeks. Something about the complete life cycle.

Yes 4 weeks with cupramine. I have treated long than 4 week... upwards of 6+ weeks, with no ill effects. I would get the GF had other issues.

Not sure why the bottle says that. Call Seachem and ask, cause I forget what they told me.

I don't think the GoldFlake had other issues because he was in QT for almost 2 months. He stopped eating and got bad cloudy eye, I treated him with PraziPro it cleared up he started eating like a pig again. I just got up to full strengh copper when the problem started....

So if I understand this chart right the tomont stage could be up to 28 days....Hence the 4 weeks.,

I know I treated for 23 days and ich came back and ever since its been 6 weeks of Cupramine treatment. You don't want to deal with it a second time as it get more immune the next time around.
