excellant.!

if not too much trouble. can you post your feeding routine, and protocol for raising the fry. thank you.

very very nice. it looks like in the first pic you can already see some black appearing on the fins. im curious to see how much they color up as they grow. good luck

I mostly feed the parents frozen f1 and f2, sometimes they get some cyclopeeze. As far as the fry they get rots for about 2 weeks and then slowly switched to pulverized flake.
The parents are WC.
The juvis in the pics are at about 2 months old.

FFrog,
I am intigued. Your babies look great. They have nice head shape, no flaired gills and nice body shape. Do you not feed baby brine shrimp at all? What flake food do you feed?
I am assuming that you are not new to raising clowns based on your results.

I do not feed bbs at all. I pulverized a mix of f1,f2 and prime reef flakes. The ones in the pics were fed cyclop for the first time this week.
I have been raising ocellaris clowns for about a year now, but the onyx have been alot harder.
This one is going to have a misbar on its first bar. Its the only one ive seen like this and its from the first batch.

What kind of success rate do you have with feeding the flake instead of BBS?

I also find it interesting that all the CB onyx offspring I've seen have very large headbands. Your parents have small headbands!

Great job with them so far! keep us posted!

frog! great work.

well they seem to love the flakes since they all look so chubby :)

that baby looks like it has an interesting head pattern.

how many babies do you have?

later on if you decide to sell/ give your babies, hopefully the new owners will track there progress so you can monitor there dev.

thank you for sharing.

Finally, after 3 1/2 months the first ones are starting to get there second bar. They all have a thin line of black showing up on the top of there first bar now also.

That’s quite the onyx factory you have going there. They look like they’re doing great. Thanks for the updates.
