One or the other, but if you switch you have to be sure the copper is out of their system. So it would be easier to just stick with your current plan of attack.
Yes, don't use them together but in sequence or use (a) fromalin bath(s) for about 40 to 50 minutes out of the tank. 5ml of 3% solution per gallon of tank water . A bucket with a small power head works fine. Kordon Fromailn 3 or Hickari Ich X are 3% solutions which are easier to use than the typical 37% formalin meds which could be used for a bath but at only .4ml per gallon of tank water.
I would stay on plan but watch for brooklynella; usually, you see mucous production from the skin. Really hard to tell from the pictures.
New spots probably means the start of a second infestation,a cycle common with ich. Broolynella doesn't pause as much becaue ofteh way the brook parasite reproduces.
The aldehyde will disrupt the binding in certain copper meds like cupramine releasing more highly toxic free copper . Don't use ammonia detoxifiers with bound copper meds either. Generally, don't mix any meds or water treatments with bound copper . Not a really good idea to mix them with free copper meds like copper sulfate either but less likely to do harm.
Pics will follow. Tough to take pictures with them moving and not wanting to sit still.
4 of the 5 look significantly better, large clarkii is a lot better but still has 3-4 decent sized spots on it near the back left side. Also I think his coloring might looks little different. More of a light orange color mixed in with his white lines. Tough to tell though considering now he's in completely different lighting than he's ever been.
