Kalk Dispenser? how much kalk

First let me say that i couldn't be happier than i am wih both my osmolator and my calcium dispenser. It has really helped contribute to my low maintainence system.

I have a seven gallon bucket of top-off that i fill up every 8 days. The calcium dispenser sits inside. I refill with calc every 10 days. I have a 35 gallon mixed reef with a little bit of everything.
My levels are..
7kh
350-400 calc

I would like to bring these up but i am already using ~1.5 tablespoons per refill. The manual says 2 teaspoons and my internet searches have led me here.

What is the proper dose of powder to add? What amount is too much? What are the limitaitons of this system. Can i depend on it soley to provide my tank with consistant levels?

I don't find kalk to be very good to raise levels, in alow demand system it can keep up but that is about all and 4 teaspoons (right now you have 4.5, no big deal) is about the limit of what you want to add to the reactor, keep in mind this is more efficient than just adding powder to water. When you just put the powder in water it reacts with CO2 in the air and becomes insoluble, in a sealed vesicle their is some CO2 dissolved in the water but this problem is reduced. If it were my tank, I would raise my KH to 10 with some Superbuffer dKH from Kent (thats what I use) and I would personally leave the calcium alone. If you had a more accurate reading my goal would be 380-400 and I would use some calcium gluconate, Seachem Liquid Calcium to raise it. Once you have the levels you want I would use 3-4 teaspoons every time you refill the reservoir.
