Kalk mix has white film still

Not sure if you can tell from the photo but my Kalk mix still has white stuff at the top. Is this ok? I am placing my Ato pump in a container so it does not suck up the stuff from the bottom but should I worry about the top?? It has been sitting for about 18 hours.

If you don't use a sealed container it will develop a "skin" on top.



Just keep the pump 1inch off the bottom.

The film/crust is to be expected.

Totally normal. resist the temptation to stir it up. The film is helpful in keeping air from the limewater.

Lidding the ATO reservoir and using towel, rubber, or paper towel wadded up as a gasket will prevent the 'skin'.
