Kalk reactor back siphoning - osmolator

I have a kalk reactor that I have used for years with a peristaltic pump with no issues. I recently hooked it up to an ozmolator using the tunze pump and it ran well for a week or so but last night it started back siphoning from the reactor into the water reservoir where the tunze pump is located.

Anybody ever seen this happen?

A peristaltic pump doesn't usually require a check valve because the rollers crimp the hose and prevent a back flow. The osmolator pump is a simple centrifugal pump and will require a check valve or that the reactor be placed below the reservoir.
