The fluidized-bed reactor was not the same as Kalkenstein it was a 6" diameter reactor with no pump for around $50 the Kalkenstein reactor was a complete working 4" unit with a MJ1200 for mixing and was $59. I would probably go for a kalkenstein DIY activity but didn't want a reactor that was that large since I don't run that much carbon, phosban or anything.
IMO it is worth a shot to ask the people in charge but the last word I saw online was that C-SEA would try as hard as possible to avoid another DIY project.
Maybe if the club doesn't want to get involved we could prep the parts ourselves and ask Tom, John or one of the other guys who participated in CORA's build for a quick assembly demo so they can be assembled at home.
The parts list is readily available online and I'm sure we could pick up the parts at Savko or have them shipped.
