Kanamycin

I am new to anemones but, wouldn't treating a new anemone (that was just transported and stressed) that you are not sure has any issues be even more stressful to the creature? Or do Gig's (or any wild caught nem) need to be treated during quarantine?

Gigs are notorious for coming in unhealthy... I will have it in a QT... I must be drawing from my inner cub scout days... I like to always be prepared... ;)

It possibly work but I do not know.We are not really sure of the dose either, or how it breake down in our tank. We have much better information as to how to treat using Cipro and Levaquin.
Cipro is cheap. If you can, I get some instead of Karamycin. I got 40 tabs 250 mg cipro for 12.95 at walgreen

I suppose I'll just make the trip to Walgreens then. I was going to order from DFS... Looks like Walgreens is the better deal. :)

Don't you still need a prescription for walgreens? I tried ordering from DFS last week but they also wont ship to me without prescription.

awww fudge.....never mind , I saw the DFS antibiotic with prescription needed and looked again just now .....they have a non prescription bottle as well , a little more pricy but no prescription needed. Sorry about the bad info in my earlier post.

Robbie would burn through them with all the anemones he has been getting... Pretty sure you'd be right behind him Minh... Not to say I'm any better... ;)

Who wanted 100 tabs of cipro. Maybe we should do a group order.
The total treatment uses about 5 tablets, correct? If so, someone should purchase this and sell per treatment... I'd be happy to buy 5 tabs for, say $8 including postage, and I haven't even found a Gig yet! 100 tabs would make for 20 treatments = $160 for the investor.
