looks good kar, where are you going to get all the kit from, (e-bay) or lfs s in the uk?

I will get most of it from the internet because my LFS does have good stuff but most of it is just so expensive. I will get the tank from an internet base company. My LFS do sell tanks and they are quite good prices but they only sell them with stand and canopies and I want to DIY the stand to accomodate my needs. But i'm going to have to drop a couple of my other hobbies to pay for this thing because I have so many and this is so darn expensive.

ah-i see, i understand the costs involved, its unbeleivable over here for costs, a phosban reactor is £79.99 over here, but in the usa they are $37.00, which is about £18.00, my tanks is 350 ltr and already ive spent £2,500.00 on it, good luck with the 200 gal, hope it does not bankrupt you

great build. Im also in the current process of upgrading from a 120g to a 200g starphire.

The actually company called me today to tell me the tank is done. and my msx-300 skimmer will be in on monday still plenty of time to go.

I still need to build a stand, canopy and sump

What is the main interest of the tank? Fish or Corals?

Don´t forget the Pics :)

Both, It will be mainly SPS with perhaps an Acan garden on the sandbed. And maybe a nice plating acro in the middle for a center piece. I'm going to try keep fish load as low as possible. Maybe 2 Tangs at the most, Achilles and Sohal. Maybe I'll add a purple. But its difficult as all of those are Acanthurus. A school of 6-8 Anthias, a Mandarin and a Wrasse or 2. But, I'm sure I'll add more. I realise this isn't a low fish load but I had to knock about 20 others off my list.

New layout

New layout

I decided to add a couple of things and change a couple of things around on this design. Sorry if its a little confusing. The program I use didn't have that much space on the canvas.

Only thing is your ATO reservoir water level is higher than the sump tank so be careful of continues flow even when the ATO pump is off... :)

Thanks, I'll cut that ATO down a little. I dont really want to be worrying about the sump overflowing. Things will probably get slightly changed around again but that is the final design I will try to follow.
