Our parrot is not known for kindness to strangers so we were astonished when Kat came over to trim his wings and nails. He endured this operation with none of the usual complaints. He scolded her, but never bit her once. This gal has a wonderful way with domestic birds. Thank you, Kat, you've earned a couple of nice frags.

With large parrots,if you show fear before trying to handle them most of the time they will stress and bite

If one decides he wants or needs to handle a parrot you just need to go in,you may get bit buy keep trying, soon enough the bird will figure out getting stressed and biting does not help him and they will stop soon enough..

If they are really nasty birds, holding them by the neck to maintaine their nails is the only way to go..

My green-wing was nice, but when she was in the shower..she would rather fight then come out lol,she loves water :)

you are SO welcome. I love Paco..as I do all birds..i think they know that. Todd is right, i am not afraid of birds...or any animal in general...and that is an important factor. I've never had to fight a bird for clipping or nail trimming..and Paco was being so good...had to try the file...he did great! That not only speaks highly of the bird...but of the bird's owners....

pssst.....THANKS FOR THE FRAGs!
