Kat's 120g Build Thread

4x4 beams. we jacked up the floor in 3 places...put the 4x4 in and removed the jack. drilled the hole in the floor from the livingroom..cleaned out the pantry in the basement that all of this is going into...whew...what a mess the basement is right now...would love to keep going...but should sleep.

pinch me. this is really happening. Mel measured. Mel is shopping. We are removing shelving units...and getting ready to plumb this puppy.

which line?

1" drain, 3/4" return. ZERO right angles. straight down from the inside of the stand to the sump. two ball valves shut offs.....Mel did a fantastic job. Everything is nice and neat, zip tied...because i wanted to keep the pantry area my work area, we sealed off the back part of the sump with half the lid that the pipes go into (which is near the furnace) to prevent corrosion. both sides are accessible....one from my studio, where the shut off are, the other from the laundry room.

Just wanted to toss in a huge thank you to Bri @ CF for having and setting aside the bulkheads that were needed for this since the old ones were MIA.

Ditto on that, Brian, or we would not have been able to complete this project! I must also thank Mel genuinely and abundantly for setting aside her whole day to not only piece this together, but gathering the parts as well. (which required a few trips...thanks!)

It is so nice to have good, honest friends in this hobby. Truly.
