I placed a big vase in there with a zoa frag.. i also had a big net in the tank near it so i can quickly cover the vase when/if i saw him in it. Although I dont have pictures of the actual catching, here are some of what I did.
I'm thinking about redoing my aquascape ... AGAIN lol... I think i like the idea of having to islands (one on the left, one on the right)... what do you think?
I think im going to trash the whole island idea.. it would be too much work and too much stirring around, and I get a little aggrevated when redoing EVERYTHING..
I was thinking about sloping down from the left down to the right and forward a little (pictures will explain better lol)
I wouldnt have to do much moving around, just leave everything, but take off most of the right side and add it to the left.
Ok.. well aquascaping is done! Only took me 5 hrs this time! lol... I may move a rock or two tomorrow, but overall it looks pretty good.. nothing ever is exactly how you want it to look but it's pretty darn close... I'll post pictures in the morning so you guys can tell me whether i completely failed or not lol.
I like the idea myself. If I ever get a long tank again (wife says she gets an addition and I can have the tank), I'm going to do something very similar. Sort of a "edge of the reef" type deal, and the "deep ocean" on the right for swimming area. The pix should be cool.
I like that kind of look as well. I have that on my FOWLR only its spaced in the middle (i.e. looks the same in your front view, but I have it more like a peninsula with space on 3 sides for water movement.) I then placed all my koralia/mjmods behind the wall on the left pointing right to create a clockwise current that brings the crud back to the overflow in the left corner.
WEll the tank as cleared up a TON.. im gonna wait a little longer before i turn all the pumps on because i have some water warming up because i know i lost a few gallons when moving the rocks around.
Thank you. Yeah it's kind of hard to get the whole dimension when its a picture, but overall I am very happy... The rocks may not look beautifull.. but I think it has perfect structure for when it's full of coral
