So i've decided to keep the T5s... Aquactninics is actually coming out with a newer constellation fixture with built in high powered LEDs for the shimmer effect.. hopefully they will allow me to trade-in my constellation fixture for the newer one.

I'll get a FTS this weekend after the water change saturday or sunday :)

Im kind of freaked out right now.. I may sound crazy but I think there are ghosts in my house or something. I keep hearing a key on the piano in the other room being played like every 45 seconds.

lol.. I actually did look at my tank.

Oh yeah... and soon im going to be pruning the tank up a bit.. So I'll be having some nice little frags of GSP and kenya trees.

Awesome tank setup. I just stumbled upon your thread tonight and it was cool to see how it came along.

I would suggest you try and get a bracket for the ATO sensor and get rid of the suction cups. I have never gotten suction cups to stay where I want them too, and that could be really bad with your ATO.

yeah I may be considering making a bracket.. I've backed off for 2 reasons though:
1. Havent had the time (1 more class of school!!!)
2. Its been there for 3 months and suctions have stayed
3. If the suctions DO fail, it will only fall into the sump causing the ATO to not add water (rather than adding and overflowing water)

Thanks for the heads up though... I actually saw you post in a different thread.. I was going to ask what is that in your avatar picture?

It's a type of leafy sea dragon sea horse. My girlfriend took the pic at the scripps birch aquarium when I was living in San Diego. It is the Scripps Institution of Oceanography school and quite a stunning but small aquarium. I'll see if I can find the full sized pic. The colors are amazing on this one.

When I had my aquarium set up out there, they have 4 gigantic "vats" off the pier that filter natural sea water from the ocean. There is a garden hose at the end of the pier where you can take as much filtered seawater as you want for free. I never bought salt or had to mix water and my reef tank never looked better. Unfortunatly, I never really took pics of those tanks I had out there. =(

They have a couple leafy and weedy sea dragons in the New England Aquarium and an I-max with them in itlast time I went in Feb. Pretty cool stuff.

lol yes it is a long thread. I try to keep it alive as much as possible, but its NOTHING like some of the threads in the New to the Hobby forum.

Here's some acclimation shots :)

Sleeper Gobies are seeming to get along. (These ARE sleeper gobies right?)

And the shot of it all

ok well the zoas arent really what I had expected. They are pretty different than the pictures they sent me.

There are three types of zoas that were on the rock
1. Bottom Left: REALLY neon green zoas (I actually like them)
2. Middle: Red zoas with REALLY blue patches on them (some that have only red skirts w/ entire blue bodies, and some with patches of blue bodies, which is cool)
3. Top: Purplish zoas with whitish/greenish mouths (I really like this one)

Although its kind of COMPLETELY not what I had pictured, they're still pretty cool.

Heres a terrible picture of them:
