Kdoc's 210g Reef Tank

Hey buddy your tank is AWESOME! I just wanted to let you know all the frags I got from you last week are doing excellent. You did great work and I look forward to getting more stuff from you so keep me posted when you have any more up for grabs =). The biggest problem I'm having is leaving them alone lol. I can never get it to look just the way I want so I end up moving stuff around a little too much I think. I suppose I should just let them sit where they are and grow out a little more before I go moving them around a bunch more but I can't help it. I obsess over it lol. I just moved them around a little tonight. But I want to do like you were saying and make a zoo garden. I'm not confident enough to do any sort of fraging of my own yet. Maybe sometime I could bring you a nice sized rock and just leave it with you for a while and you could attach a few zoas to it each time you frag stuff and then I would have a rock with a mix on it haha. Well for now I'm putting the discs on rocks and hoping eventually stuff will move on to the rock from the disc. Anyways you do great work, make sure to let me know when you get some more stuff for sale. I'll post up some pics when I get some decent ones. My camera takes bad pictures through the tank. I need to figure that out..they get blurry so I need a new camera or figure out how to do it with mine.

Ha. Thanks Roman. I sent you a PM by the way. You're gonna be happy about that :). I would say the less you play with them, the faster they'll go. Just put them in good flow and medium to high light and you'll be fine. I'm rediculously excited for my zoas to come in next week. It will basically be the huge foundation to the zoanthid garden I'm looking for. I just want to get them in, and a year to pass, so they're REALLY grown out lol.

But yeah, I'm getting some REALLY cool stuff, I cant wait...

An off-topic update:
I made the Dean's List again!
2nd time so far. I'm 2 for 2. Let's see if I can keep this up :)

Wow forgot I had this here... Not much has happened. Havent really gotten anything new. Planning on getting a QT and a bunch of new fish, and treating them all (along with my current fish) with copper treatment for ich.

My anemone has also split (finally... thing was getting huge). It's going to be going to Joe so hopefully he'll like that bad boy.

I'm really overdue for a water change, I've just been so hectic with school, and I'm going to be coaching a baseball team, so I've got to see if I can squeeze it in this weekend.

How has everyone been?

Well guess who's a daddy!!!
My clownfish just laid eggs for the first time in 2-2.5 years!

Now whether to raise them or not.. hmmm.. I'll have to sleep on it (if that's possible). I have a 40g cube in the basement that I could use. You guys think I should go for it, or is it just not worth it?

Would you be able to get a roti culture going in time for the hatch? You may end up giving up this one, but now that you know, you can plan for the next.

In the RC breeding forum, there is a thread that details the addiction raising fry can become; as if the hobby wasn't addicting enough.

I probably wouldn't be able to get one in time. I have finals this week so I've got a lot of studying to do.

Just out of curiosity, how long on average does it take for another batch of eggs to be laid?

Haven't posted here in a while. Finally got around to dosing Flatworm Exit today. Everything looks great. All the red flatworms seem to be dead/gone, but some white/clear ones (which have always seemed to be harmless) are still left. I don't think I'm going to worry so much about the white/clear ones.

Wish I could have cleared up the whole Ich issue. I'm down to just my two clown fish and 1 chromis... It's disappointing, especially considering it's a 210g tank. I just have decided not to add ANY fish before taking care of the ich. I just haven't had the time, unfortunately, and I leave for school this Sunday. I'll have to figure out something.

But again, the flatworms so far seem to be taken care of. I will update that in a few days. Happy that the tank is nice and clean.

Echooooooo Echoooooooo Echoooooooooo! Lol anyone there? I've got to post some updated pics. I haven't gotten much new livestock, but the previous things I have look nice and grown out, at least compared to my most recent pictures. Funny to see how things have changed. You don't really notice it until you look at old pictures.

ok I'm having trouble uploading the pictures. I have resized them all but for some reason they're showing up huge.

Picked up a HUGEEEEEEEEEE colt coral from House of Fins today! I'll post pictures once it's in the tank and open.

Thanks Bubba. Love the naso. The powder blue has the most personality in the tank. I loveee my powder blue. The video got moved so it won't show up, here it is again:

Thanks Stan :) I didn't manage to grab a picture of the colt coral. It didn't open up fully today (didn't help that I was moving it around either). I'll try to take one next weekend (if someone can remind me!)
