Kdoc's 210g Reef Tank

Here are some crappy pictures of my gorgeous colt coral.. So much nicer in person. The pictures do it no justice.

Snagged myself yet another Diamond Watchman Goby. I'm sure this guy will last a long life, as the other 2 I've gotten in the past (and have died) were purchased online.. I Don't think I have anything left from what I purchased online to be honest, other than my blood fire shrimp... Never again, never again. Supposedly he's annoying the crap out of everyone at home (I'm at school 4 days of the week), because he's piling up a huge hill of sand. I'll have to see for myself tonight :)

Diamond Goby is doing great. Destroyed a few corals from piling up so much damn sand. I think he's done with all the piling up though because it looks like he dug out a nice big cave for himself.

Also grabbed a Clown Tang last week. This guy is GORGEOUS. Probably my favorite fish. My powder blue was bossing him around a bit but they seem to be fine now. I'll see if I can grab some pictures before I head back to school.

Thanks pulit :) Yeah I've gotten back into the groove of stocking up the tank. I'm hoping to get a purple tang soon and maybe a nice school of anthias.

Caught a video of my eel during feeding. He's a big hider so it was exciting to see. Unfortunately I have not spotted the other (unless they each come out one at a time)

bumpidy bump.

All is still going well. Heat is kicking in so I have a big fan on top of my tank.

My gorgeous SPS colony (don't know the name) and monti caps are completely destroyed. I think it was due to my bristletail filefish. A sacrifice that had to be made in order to get rid of the damn majanos (which are almost completely gone at this point). I may wait a bit to get rid of the bristletail filefish, or may keep him to maintain elimination of the majanos; I'd just have to avoid SPS :(

thats easy we have very few responsibility's our parents pay for our food car insurance home school, clothes, all we do is spend our money on what we want.aka reef tanks.

Good point. But at this point in time, I've graduated from COLLEGE. I can't believe this thread is that old lol.

Kdoc's 210g Reef Tank

Wow I haven't posted here in ages. How is everyone doing (for those few that watch this thread and are hopefully still subscribed!)

Things are still going pretty well with the tank. I'll give you some bullets of updates:

Start with the bad (keeping in mind this is all within a year or two)
-diamond goby died.
-clown tang died (I think he may have been harassed to death. I thought things were getting better :()
-filefish died, I think it may have starved to death. My majanos were eaten away by him and the day before I was going to give him away, he died.
-my beloved Galaxia died! (Old bulbs and no money for new ones)
-that beatific blue sps colony died! (Bulbs as well I believe)
-huge frogspawn seemed to be dying (bulbs bulbs bulbs Fml!)
-garden eels got sucked up by powerheads.
-green monti caps died

Jeez that was a lot of bad. Ok now for the GOOD

-all remaining fish seem extremely happy and healthy.
-12 year old female clownfish is still trucking along!
-got a new diamond watchman goby (doing well. He is huge, but he and my melanurus wrasse don't seem to like each other)
-tried out aiptasiaX and it DESTROYED my majanos. Man what a difference. My tank looks 10x better.
-my frogspawn is definitely coming back to health. 2 of the 4 baseball sized heads are pretty beat up and I don't think will ever be the same, but the other two are doing great.
-the toadstool on the left is MASSIVE. Younger, but bigger than my first one on the right.
-I took out some rocks COVERED in Kenya trees and it made a big difference with making my tank look tidy and clean.
-New bulbs have been in for months and ever since, everything has looked much better and healthier. I will never again hold off on changing my bulbs.

Here's a photo I took the other day for those that care lol
