Keeping Frags Overnight

I posted this in another thread and thought I might should ask in a new thread..

I'm planning on going to the swap and trying to decide if my wife and I will spend the night. Any one had any luck keeping frags overnight after a swap? I'll be taking a cooler but anything else?

Should not be a problem in a cooler. When you order from an online vendor they stay in the shipping box for at least that long.

I've kept stuff in a cooler for quite a while. I just kept some warm bags of water (not too warm) in there too.

As long as the frag has healed over from the fraging It should be good. If it is a fresh frag = less than one week, you may have some problems.

I am planning on making the trip to Nashville this Saturday and returning Sat evening.
What do I need to carry with me to safely transport my frag purchases on my three or four hour return trip to Birmingham?
I can keep the car at 80 degrees, no problem.
Do I need to bring a bunch of plastic bags or little cups , or do the people who sell me the frags package them up so I can safely transport them like I would when I get them from the LFS?
I have been doing extra work at the University to get money to buy frags for my new tank. And this Frag Swap is a great way to get a variety of zoos.

Frags are sold mainly in bags or sometimes in small containers like yogurt cups. You need a cooler to haul them back home. It may help to get a small hand warmer pad that hunters use at Dick's or Wal-Mart - the kind you squeeze to get it activated. Tape it up to the inside of the lid of the cooler. It may not be a bad idea to bring a few bags just in case one of the bags of frags spring a leak. If you are buying mainly zoanthids and leathers, you probably don't have to bother with hand warmer pads. They should be fine for several hours in a cooler in a warm room/car.
