Kent Tech M Magneium treatment

Actually, my RT is suffered from the bryopsis and I started to push up the Mg level by Tech M. BTW, would anyone give me an advice whether I need to stop other additives like AB parts & Kawasser buffer. Also, should I switch off the skimmer duing the treatment?

I use the Kent Tech M and keep my mag at 1700 in each tank. I have never stopped the A/B two part at any time and always keep my skimmers running. Nothing ever seems to be affected and params always stay fine.

Thanks for yr advice. So, should I have water change during the treatment? If so, should I add an extra portion in order to keep the high level of Mg.

If you can, try to dose the mg directly onto the bryopisis. Kills it much faster. Keep an eye on your other parameters. I had a drop in alk when elevating mg. I would keep to your regular water change schedule. Just keep testing to see where you are at.

Also consider testing phosphate level and lowering as required (I have had a lot of success w/ carib sea phosbuster pro after being referred to it by one of Melev's posts) and work to minimize nitrates.
