I have had a Kenya Tree Coral that has seemed very happy since I purchased it about 2 months ago. However, for the past three or four days it has been looking very wilted. Any suggestions as to what may be the cause? or a cure? Thanks

Thanks for the help - based on the comments I will stop worrying and just let it do its thing while I enjoy the reast of the tank! lol

Are your water paramaters fine? Salinity, alk, temp, etc. What do you have for flow in your tank?

To the best of my knowledge the water parameters are fine. As of last night:
SG: 1.025
Temp: 78
Phosphate: nil
Nitrite: Nil

I do not have the testers for Calk, Alk and Mag - I took a sample to the LFS and I am waiting to get the results back.

As for flow, in the tank I have two MP 10s, one Koralia 3, and for the return pump a Waveline DC 5000 - calculated to 660 gph

Yesterday I placed the coral in another postition in the tank where there is a bit less flow, and there has not been any change in appearance (at least not yet)

You should when possible get an ALK test kit of your own. It's an important part of keeping things in check.

The shedding process can take a week or two. The longest I've had was two weeks, but I wouldn't put three out of the question for a larger one.

They basically look just like that. Partially out, but lacking the right color and drooping to varying degrees. The part that often throws people off with Kenya's and Colt's is that they often partially extend while shedding, so they appear sick or like they are struggling. Then suddenly one day the skin is peeling off, the color is back and its going through a growth spurt.
