Kenya Tree (?) shriveled

I bought a tank complete (LR, sand, fish, coral, critters, etc.) and It has been up for about 3 weeks now and everything seem to be doing well except my Kenya Tree (at least that is what I think it is). It has never fully opened and mostly looks like the pic attached.

I like to keep my pH at 8.3 and temp at 78. I dont know if that would make a differance.
Have you tried it in a differant spot?

It could be a green kenya tree or a green sinularia or nepthea hard to tell fromthe pic #1 stop dosing the essential elements it is a waste and can be throwing your parameters out of wack raise salinity to 1.025 to 1.026 which should bring your alk up which is low at 6dkh and also quit feeding the zooplex and liquid gold they are doing nothing for the coral, that coral will do just fine with lighting and weekly water changes

My leathers all do this from time to time. They'll close up for a few days and open back up to look as good as new. Usually during this time you can see them blowing a slime coat off as well.

when I first bought mine it stayed shriveled up like that for almost a week. Now it stays open as long as the lights are on and then it shrinks up again.
