Hi All,
I have a 29 gallon Biocube with a Kessil A160 Tuna Blue hooked up to the Kessil controller. I've had this light for quite some time and haven't really seen any major growth. The blue LED's recently stopped working and had to buy a new Kessil light and just wanting to be sure I have a good lighting schedule to promote growth. While the Kessil was broken I had no choice but to put the stock T5 biocube hood on.
I did a search on both RC and Google and read just about every post as to what everyone is doing and I'm reading a lot of conflicting information. From what I've read, corals grow best under the blue spectrum and to never have the Kessil light at above 70ish% color and never above 80% intensity as this light is extremely effective.
My current light schedule is as follows:
3pm- 0% Color 10% Intensity
5pm- 30% / 40%
7pm- 50% / 70%
8pm- 55% / 85%
10pm- 0% / 20%
11pm - 0% /0%
In my tank I predominantly have LPS such as frogspawns, torches, and hammers along with some mushrooms, GSP, zoas, and an anemone. The picture I attached was from a few months ago when when my light broke a few weeks ago things are now not in the best shape. But I never did see any great growth except in the GSP but nothing major and my zoas have all died for the most part and melted away. The red monti cap also grew a bit as I can tell from the edges but eventually all turned white so either I have some pests or it bleached.
Any feedback would be much appreciated!
Thank you!
