Kessil a360we Life Expectancy

I purchased x2 Kessil a360we lights for my RSM250 thinking they would be a great investment until I read some reviews revealing that the lights last only a few years until they die which is getting me pretty worried. Anyone have any experience with these lights? What can I do to make them last longer?

Don't have one.. If I had to guess though its likely just insufficient cooling/heat removal.. lifespan is directly/drastically effected by led junction temperature.... hotter = shorter life

The pair I have hanging 14" above my FT are going strong at 2+ years. Heat isn't much of an issue in the basement so I expect them to last several more years at least.

Thank you for the response! I will probably use them at 50%-70% brightness now

I have mine at about 50% as well, although my FT is only 12" deep. Any higher than that and everything bleaches out.

The truth of it is that I expect to get 8-10 years out of these running at just 1/2 power and with little to no heat. I can put my hand on the casing after 10+ hours and it doesn't even feel warm.

The only real downside is that they are essentially a point source, so for a 48" DT I would want at least one more, probably 2, to help prevent shadowing.
